The Situation
Children are being born with super powers. Parents are becoming afraid of their kids. Luckily, there is a college for young adults that will teach them how to discover and control their powers. Even so, these young college kids also have ordinary life problems to deal with. Their super powers just complicate their already complicated lives.
Characters
- Students: Each student has one superpower that is causing them problems. Maybe the power is difficult to control or maybe the power makes social interactions awkward. Each student also has a hidden power which reveals itself later in the story
- Teachers: Each teacher has two superpowers and teaches a super-subject. They are true heroes, moral, kind, and disciplined. They seemt ohave all the answers, but sometimes even the teachers don't know what to do.
- Villains: villains want the students to leave the school and join them in their crimes. They are selfish, greedy, and do not care if people die.
- Aliens: Aliens can be either heroes or villains or disinterested characters. There is usually trouble when they appear.
Powers
twice to choose from the list below and discover your first and second power. They must be different.
- Invisibility: your character can turn invisible.
- Flamability: your character can shoot flames from his or her body.
- Freezing Powers: your character can make things freeze.
- Telekinesis: your character can move things with his or her mind.
- Super strength: you character is unusually strong.
- Flight: your character can fly through the air without wings.
- Freeze-frame: your character can stop time.
- Super speed: your character can do anything super fast.
- Super healing: your character can recover from almost any attack.
- Phasing: your character can walk through solid walls.
- Electrical power: your character can create and channel electricity.
- Shrinkability: Your character can become very small.
Role a 6-sided die to see how powerful your character's first power is. To calculate his or her second power use this formula: 7 minus your first power strength = second power strength. The maximum combined power of your character cannot exceed 7.
Costume
Create a costume for your character here. When you are happy with your character press printscreen, launch Microsoft Paint and create a jpg file of your character. To see an example, click here.
Events
- New arrivals: It was the beginning of a new semester. New mutants were arriving at the college for superheroes. Who will be your roommate? What strange powers will your classmates have? See the rules for character building here.
- Attacked! Almost before everyone could get unpacked, the cegep was attacked. The teachers were away due to an emergency. The new students had learn to cooperate and use their powers and intelligence to protect the school.
- A budding romance? The students began to date each other. Problems arose when some of them noticed that in their excitement for each other they lost control of their super powers. Will one night of passion destroy the school?
- A school trip: one teacher has decided to take the students on an exciting school trip on the school's rocket-bus. An alien interfers with their plans and they almost don't get back home alive.
